Electronic anti-counterfeiting stamps for import alcohol management is one of the modern customs application schemes. According to Mr. Nguyen Duong Thai, Deputy Director-General of Customs
The Government agrees to advocate the application of advanced technology in customs management for imported alcohol.
During the regular meeting of the Ministry of Finance this morning, Mr. Thai said that with anti-counterfeiting stamps, users can exploit more information about businesses and goods. On each stamp, there will be 3 important parameters: Protection code is imprinted as scratch cards; double barcodes; the number of series.
When consumers want to find out information about the product, they can use barcodes, protection codes to go to the respective websites to check.
The information that customs have about the goods, customers can also know when lookup.
“On the other hand, anti-counterfeit electronic stamps can not be counterfeited, it is safe, much more guaranteed than paper stamps with grease poker. Therefore, if going into the application, through this stamp, the interests of consumers will be guaranteed,” Mr. Thai said.
According to the leaders of the customs industry, when presented to the government, this project was agreed by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh to apply advanced technology in customs management for imported alcohol.
However, the Deputy Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Finance to finally complete the project such as additional explanations of technology to ensure their affordability applicable to domestic production.
The Ministry also needs to explain clearly about the current reality of printing alcohol stamps (imported wine and wine produced in the country) about the source, the level of investment in stamping, the cost of buying stamps of enterprises … and expected funding for stamping according to the technology of the project (source, level of funding for system investment, human resource training, costs for enterprises …); plan to select related service providers to implement the project (including the ability to hire enterprises to deploy and provide information technology infrastructure services for the project).
Mr. Thai also said that in the third and fourth quarters, the anti-counterfeiting stamp scheme will be implemented.
